Analysis of Wascha Mesa

Wascha Mesa was composed by Hans Newsidler (1508-1563), originally for the Lute. It revolves around major and minor triads, mostly in open spacing (click here for the lesson on triads).

​Once you know the triads, then playing the runs in-between the chords becomes much easier, as your left hand is anchored and doesn't need to move much.
